"No! I Natalie!"

Do you ever call your kids names other than their actual names?

You know like sweetie, or silly, or cutie? I never realized how much I use these little pet names until recently. I'm not trying to say there is anything wrong with them, b/c I actually really like them, but apparently Natalie does not. EVERY time I call her a name other than her own given name she protests, "No! I Natalie!"

She's even begun to do it with other people's names. Just before putting her to bed this afternoon I was trying to get a toy away from her and I said: "Give the toy to Momma." to which she quickly and emphatically replied, "No! You Mommy!"

What a silly girl! ....no, she's Natalie.
