To say that I cannot believe that Ethan is now 11 months would be an understatement. In many ways it shocks me. How can my little baby boy possibly be just one month away from his first birthday?
But despite my shock, and denial, he's growing up...fast. So for my journaling sake here are some things about our little 11 month old Ethan (including lots of pictures from his 11 month old shoot).

Ethan now has 3 teeth. (2 bottom ones that have full come in, and 2 top ones that have half way come in. So 2 + 1/2 + 1/2 = 3) But, I don't have any pictures that really show his teeth.

Ethan is fast. I've mentioned it before, but really, you should see this kid in action. You could blink and he'd be in another room - and that's only a little bit of an over statement. Really.

Ethan is into everything! Which sometimes makes me want to pull my hair out (when he's torn apart something in my room or office for the tenth time in the day b/c someone failed to close the door) and sometimes its funny (when he's pestering his sisters, although I know it won't be funny when he's older).
Speaking of being into everything. There are 2 places in the house he loves to get into. #1 being the office. The doors to the office just push open, you don't have to turn a door knob, and he quickly learned just how much force he needed to get the door opened. So even with the doors closed the office and computers were not safe, so we resorted to putting a heavy box behind the loosest door. He was pretty mad the first time he could not get it open. Thankfully he's not strong enough, yet, to get the second door open. The other place he loves to be is our bedroom. I try to keep that door closed, but occasionally I'll forget or someone else will walk in and not close the door behind them. If he even hears that door open he bolts towards the bedroom. Once he's in he does one of two things. He either perches himself at the window and watches the neighborhood boys play basketball, or he gets Daddy's xbox remotes and turns the xbox on. He has even figured out a few times how to turn the tv on and loves to watch whatever is cycling through in automatic on whatever game Daddy has left in the Xbox.
He still visits us on a nightly basis around 10pm. But its not a bother. We look forward to his visits. Mainly b/c they're just that. A visit. He cries for a minute, we go to check on him which results in him standing up wanting to be held, we hold him for 5-10 minutes and then put him back to bed without complaint. This might be an issue if it were at 2am, but a quick visit before Mommy and Daddy get in bed is just fine.
Ethan still says mostly "Dada." He has, thankfully, proven he can say "Mama" but he typically prefers saying "Dada." But when he's crying or sad what does he say? You guessed it. "Mama!" This makes me completely happy and content.

He loves to be with his sisters. Sometimes they're a little rough still (mostly Natalie) but he wants to be right with them wherever they are doing whatever they're doing. The girls like this sometimes, but other times they run into their room and close the door so he can't get in.

I love this little guy so much! He's so fun and sweet. Now, I've got to get going, I've got a birthday to plan!

Cute pictures. Jace is doing the same things as Ethan. It'd be nice if you lived closer, so they could get together and play.
Sounds just like a boy to me! I can't believe he's almost 1 either... time flies. You got some priceless pics of your precious boy!
